Good point.

I am not fan of +Thuc, but what should also be considered is that all the trad priests and bishops in the +Thuc line were not exactly idiots who would have just blown off any doubt and  gone ahead and gotten ordained / consecrated anyway.

Not to mention +Guerard des Lauriers who...

- assisted on writing the Dogma of the Assumption
- authored the Ottaviani Intervention
- was the confessor to Pope Pius XII

The man was a pre-VII heavy weight and he believed he was consecrated by +Thuc. It's Kimmage, Maria, and the Angelus Press against the Pope's personal Confessor. I think I'll get some more popcorn ready.

Right.  He had a doctorate in Mathematics.  He was a doctor in theology.  And a professor in philosophy.

It's in the letter above.  Did you read it?
FYI, what was posted above was the Angelus article, not a letter of +Thuc.

Ahhh, I see the confusion.  Who knows if +Thuc even wrote a letter.  ??  The Angelus is responsible for posting it.  They should've included it along with their article.  But they didn't.

Clearly this is a waste of time, there is much gaslighting being done here.

Lazarus, I invite you to read the following thread, as the sede thesis is often based on faulty theology.  https://www.cathinfo.com/crisis-in-the-church/the-true-and-the-false-infallibility-of-the-popes/

For those who care to read, Cardinal Castillo Lara in an interview from 1988 comments on the mental state of Archbishop Thuc, suggesting that he was not entirely responsible for his actions.

Interestingly, he remarks that what distinguished the excommunication of +Thuc and Archbishop Lefebvre, is that the former did not wish to be schismatic, while the latter did, according to the Novus Ordo Cardinal.
