  • Here are two lists compiled by NO priest consisting of the books he thinks are essential reading.

    Aside from the Bible and the Summa, all books are 1983 or newer.  I was surprised he even mentioned the Summa, he said "Saint Thomas’ thought is the building block for all Catholic theology.".

    I don't think he really means that though because he also said "...the theologians whom I would think could be great contributors to any theological library, like Henri de Lubac, Tracey Rowland, Bernard Lonergan, Rene Latourelle, Yves Congar and Gilles Emery. "

  • I would not recommend his modernist reading lists.  I posted these lists as examples of how far off the mark the 
    neo-Catholics have gone.  Except of course the Douay Rheims Bible and the Summa.
