When you're getting free money, who cares if you waste thousands of dollars on postage?

I just got an "Archbishop's Appeal" for donations from the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Only it wasn't for me. It was for the previous owners of our house -- who moved out in May 2008. This is 2017.

So the Archdiocese is OK with wasting postage chasing donations from parishioners at addresses which haven't been verified in NINE YEARS! How many other stale, old, outdated addresses are they sending physical junk mail to? What a waste of money!

But since they're getting all kinds of free donations, I guess they don't care -- it just reduces their total "net income" a bit. I guess they consider it the cost of doing business.
