  • So nobody knows of a Catholic, pre-V2 source either refuting or commenting on this supposed miracle?

    I've tried to find something but haven't been able to yet.
    Dom Guéranger mentions it in discussing The Holy Fire. He calls it a deception. See page 553:

    There truly was a miracle before the Infidels had taken over Jerusalem the second time, and then it ceased.
