I just think that most people here realize that Bishop Kelly's attack were nothing but slanderous crap, and perhaps thus the level of engagement. That +Thuc was clearly in his right mind cannot be disputed, from numerous witnesses. If he did some imprudent things in life, well, then, welcome to the club ... but the minimum mental acuity to ordain / consecrate requires only the know that he's doing what the Church does to ordain / consecrate, and simply be able to read the Latin, which he clearly could do. +Thuc had multiple doctorates, had consecrated bishops before, and was conversing with Father-then-Bishop Carmona in Latin and correcting the former's mistakes.
There's nothing left here obviously besides the negative doubt of "what if" +Thuc messed up the form. In that case, he too could be welcomed to the club. What if Bishop Williamson messed up consecrating the ones he did in secret, or in his conditional ordinations/consecrations, which rarely had audiences or witnesses? Ah, but +Kelly had witnesses and video when +Mendez consecrated him, a few days after he did not recognize his own relatives after a stroke. Well, Bishop Kelly at all, what if the priest who baptized you messed up, eh? You could have had 500 co-consecrators and 50 videos from different angles, and it would make no difference.
Worst of all is the fact that they gravely slandered the character of Archbishop Thuc, who in my opinion was a holy man. You just need to read his autobiography, and others attest to the fact that he didn't utter a word of complaint when he, a Prince of the Church, was relegated to living in a tiny, dirty hole in the wall for his quarters, and he was grateful for this, that the pastor of a parish would permit him to earn his keep by hearing Confessions and doing catechism at the church there. Everyone who has ever met him reports that he was extremely devout, especially when offering Mass, and was a man of great kindness and humility, who loved souls.
What Montini and the Conciliar hierarchy did to him was an absolute disgrace, and SSPV (+Kelly et al.) are no better in that regard. Shame on them. They need to publicly apologize and make reparation for destroying the man's good name.
