I remember now because he was in California and talking about the absurd stuff going on down there, and it seems he was a native of the state, etc. I also want to say he was preaching on the Feast of Christ the King, or it was upcoming? Anyway, yes, Father Perez. May he rest in peace. He certainly seemed like a good Priest!

In Dolan’s (sedevacantist vs. sedeprivationist) dispute with Donald Sanborn, he has invoked the aid of his Finnish page (Lehtoranta) as his "knight" to do his theological jousting for him -- because he himself is absolutely no match for Sanborn (nor is the Finn , for that matter). And then, in his inimitable non-wisdom, His Tactlessness (to further press his point on the same subject) has even pitted the Finn against none other than Bp. Michel-Louis Guérard des Lauriers (the main intellectual force behind the Ottaviani Intervention, and a recognized theologian of the twentieth century). Whoa! That’s like sending Al Sharpton up against Thomas Aquinas! So, where will His Excavationcy dig his next hole – and how will he ever dig his way out of it?

I recently came across the following verse memorial to the tempest-in-a-teapot that is the subject of this thread. It’s based on that old American popular song “Frankie and Johnny.” Big recording artists like Jimmy Rodgers, Burl Ives, Sam Cooke, Johnny Cash, Lena Horne, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, and “The King” himself, Elvis Presley, have covered it. ‘cuz he busted the peace of 25 years

Don shot a spot for the YouTube
‘n’ said, “Dannie, you got a grudge:

Then Dannie backed down in a hurry.
He claimed Donny mistook his point.
Vili then shredded ol’ Guérard
To put Don’s nose outta joint.
Vili is Dan’s boy, so he crossed the line.

Dannie remembered that letter:

For Lefebvre used but just one hand:
Suspend yourself a divinis!”
Dan was Don’s boy, but Don crossed the line.

Then Donny returned to Nick’s studio.
He whipped out a big microphone.
And “testing-1-2” three times he barked
Before he smoked Dan’s clone.
Vili was Don’s boy, but he crossed the line.

Well, all o’ the faithful got ticked off;
Told ol’ Dan they'd make tracks;
Hitched up their trailers to their pickups,
And zoomed to the SSPX.
Tired o’ Don’s boys, faithful crossed state lines.

Now, Donny’s got his walkin’ papers.
He’s headin’ to the Keystone State.
“I’ve worn out my welcome in Brookville,
So Moneybags made me skate.
Dan was my boy, and that crossed the line.”

This story has no morals;
It’s all about Cath’lic cads.
The story just goes to show
That there ain’t no good in trads.
Those two are toast; they both crossed the line.
