  • Bishop Tissier says we may doubt the validity of JP2 and B16.

I think we get into trouble if we generalise about the SSPX.  Clearly the Superior General believes in the validity of B16.

Abp. Lefebvre is said to have held the opinion that sede vacantism is too simple a solution for such a complex problem.

For me, the crisis is incomprensible.  I am not the one in charge of formally declaring the See empty, null and void.  I have seen horrible abuses of the holy priesthood by SV clergy and Society-affiliated clergy, and of course N.O. clergy.

I tend to think that the 3rd Secret of Fatima is about the Papacy.  I am not at all certain that the phrase, "Portugal will have the dogma of the Faith..." means what Fr. Gruner thinks it means.  (but I love Fr. Gruner anyway).

I wrestle with the Four Marks of the Church - we need a Head.  Unfortunately, my heart cannot accept JP2 and B16 as Popes!  I believe it is dead wrong to condemn those who need to believe that there must be a Pope at all times.  It is a completely Catholic way of thinking.

It comes down to 'a little knowledge being a dangerous thing' and me not being a theologian...it is a big mess, and I never pray and sacrifice enough.

May Christ have mercy on us.  May we be healed by the Precious Blood of Our Lord.

There have been times in the past when there was no visible head to the church, of course in the past a true pope almost always reigned in opposition of an anti-pope. There is nothing that says that a period of sede vacante cannot last for an extended period of decades or even a century.

Also, the Church does not even require that there be bishops or priests in order to be the Catholic Church.

You must have faith in Christ -- the Church is His Bride, would He abandon Her?

It is good also to recall that the man of sin will sit in the Temple of God, and that the abomination of desolation will be in the Holy Place.

  • All I am trying to say is that I personally loathe the lack of charity of some Catholics for Catholics who hold that B16 is the Holy Father.  I am quite aware that there is not a Pope every single instant, etc.

The  contrived 'una cuм' issue being a vivid example of a destructive presumption with terrible consequences.

  • Charity is the love of God.  There is no true charity outside of the Catholic Faith.  The men in Rome are outside of the true Faith, as are those who follow them, despite all the PROOF.

It would be uncharitable not to admonish these heretics and schismatics to get out of their false sect that will lead them to hell.
