  • At least one NO "priest" gets the problem with same-sex relationships.  Unfortunately his staff does not.  I wonder how long it will take the bishop to reassign this poor man who is just trying to uphold Catholic teaching (as far as any NOer can).

    same-sex married and Catholic?

    Quote
This guy has only been a priest for four years — and already he’s acting as though he holds more sovereign Church authority than Pope Francis himself! Here’s his self-created bio:
    https://www.hnoj.org/august-2015-hello-fr-drees
I’d say he needs to go back to study “Caritas 101”, instead of behaving like a tinpot dictator. There’s more than a whiff of anti-sɛҳuąƖ paranoia emanating from his attitude and his hateful actions. What Would Jesus Say? What Would Jesus DO? He is compromised in his ability to be a true pastor and a healer. And a priest for just four years? I’d say he’s much too young to be vested with such presumptive (and presumptuous) ecclesiastical authority. Why is Minnesota repeatedly in the news for exhibiting such horrible clerical malpractice?

The sad part is that I actually think that the poster of this comment is serious and it is not sarcasm.

  • It's from New Ways "Ministry", a very very liberal and dissident group within the Church. Think James Martin, but somehow (God help us) much worse.

  • Yes, it shows just how serious they are about continuing their perversion of the faith.  They proclaim it openly and loudly and there is no effort to eradicate it.  How can the ordinary man in the pew think he is still in the Catholic church?  They must have very large blinders on :fryingpan:

Indeed. This is in my home archdiocese.
The Minneapolis archdiocese always has this happen and the backlash is enormous. People are simply mad that a conservative archdiocese is in a liberal area.

  • Are you saying that the Minneapolis Archdiocese is, as a whole, conservative?

(I'm not disagreeing--I have no knowledge of this particular area.  I'm just surprised that anyone would characterize any diocese in the United States as "conservative"; perhaps less liberal, less Satanic, but not "conservative".  After all, I just looked at the diocese's website and immediately saw them promoting something with a meme saying:  "A day with Endow.  Explore the topic of Feminine Genius with Mallory Smyth."  Whatever "Endow" or "Feminine Genius" is, who knows.  It just doesn't sound "conservative".  They also promote something called, "WINE", that is, "Women In the New Evangelization", in which you can, "Ignite Your Spirit with joyful women for a day of inspiration, faith, fellowship & fun.")

  • You have to be Catholic to be saved

Franklin Graham may end up being Catholic after 100 years in Purgatory, but hey... better late than never.

and by the way, this is not saying much at all, i know

but he is more "Cahtolic" already IMO than many
    Catholics... many priests... popes..

Well, less liberal, maybe. Conservative under the previous archbishop. Compared to the area in general (which is skewed by heavily liberal Minneapolis and St. Paul). But having lived here nearly all my life, I've seen the crazy liberal backlash.
