  • Everyday CAF is becoming more like a modernist version of AQ. Now you can't even talk about sedes there! Have a look.

  • When the evidence of a serious problem cannot be denied/refuted, the only course is to deny the presentation of the evidence.

  • I'm suprised they just now banned it!

Debating on CAF is good practice for debating real life Neo-Caths. If you say the wrong thing they will ban you from their conversation as well. ;)

  • Yesterday, while at my doctor, he noticed my scapular sticking out of my shirttop, and asked me where I got it.  I in turn asked him if he was Catholic and he said he was raised Catholic.  He also went on to say that he heard about the scapular and when he inquired of it from his parish priest, the priest told him, he didn't know what he was talking about.  ??!!
I told him in a short version about the Great Apostasy, and he came up with a clever response, he called B16; instead of Pope Benedict, he said Nope Benedict 16.

I just happen to have a church bulletin in my purse and gave it to him, he seemed interested.
Why is it, some people get it and others do not?
    Please pray for my soul.

I believe there was a already a ban in place set by the prior forum mod.  When the new thread(s) started up Casey just allowed them for a time, till he axed them.

Because the majority of the people block themselves from seeing past Vat II.  To them, the Church they want to know, belong to, was "birthed" by Vat II.

As can be seen below from the current moderator over at CA. Docuмents/writings/etc. from past Popes are no longer welcomed because they bring to the forefront the discrepancy between the Church of the past and what Vat II and the Popes since have made Her to be.

This is a Catholic forum and we are submissive and respectful to the Church, the Holy Father and the bishops. No one may put them or their work on trial on this forum.

If you have a problem with anything they say, please write to the appropriate office in your diocese or the Roman Curia.

There is a difference between expressing a disagreement and pitting the writings of one pope against another to prove the one is correct and the other in error.  That is neither the purpose of this fourm nor our role here.

If it's a Catholic Answers Forum shouldn't you be able to explain how the writings are in agreement?  Or do you just not care to explain?  Are writings of pre-Vatican II Popes not welcome on CAF, just as they are not welcome in current theological writings?

Well, LM!  Vatican 11 was over 40 years ago.  Most of the people that were there for the initial changes  have died.  The new generation doesnt SEE past Vatican 11 because they dont know anything PRE Vatican 11
There is already 3 or more generations since then that dont know any better!  Its a very special grace to see the truth today!  It only happens to a very few compared to the multitude  during this great apostacy.  Seems like a spark of devotion to Mary is somewhat a prereq!

    Great story, Myrna!

    Our Lady said at LaSalette

    "The Church will be eclipsed,

, I call upon the Apostles of the Latter Times, the faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who have lived in contempt of the world and of themselves, in poverty and humility, in contempt and silence, in prayer and mortification, in chastity and in union with God, in suffering, and unknown to the world. It is time for them to emerge and come enlighten the earth. Go, show yourselves to be my dear children; I am with you and in you, provided your faith is the light enlightening you in these evil times. May your zeal make your famished for the glory and honor of Jesus Christ. Do battle, children of light, you, the few who see thereby; for the time of times, the end of ends, is at hand.

  • I wanted to clarify what I said.
Anyone 21 years of age at the time of Vatican 11 has to be 70 today. My oldest daughter  is  48.  She doesnt remember Vatican 11 because it was happening the year she was born!
However, she was raised with the  Tridentine mass.  She  is married to a man that has NEVER seen the Tridentine mass.......hes 47 years old!  Obviously they dont go to mass!

I brought a whole bag of brown scapulars to this country where I'm living now and I gave out a bunch of them to people who were sincerely interested in wearing them and adhering to the scapular promises. I explained to them that the "priest" would probably have them say a novena in preparation to be enrolled, and I explained to them the benefits of enrollment.

None of those people could find even one single NO "priest" who knew the scapular enrollment pledge, nor even one who was willing to take the trouble to find out. As a result, we have to wait for a Trad priest to come some time next year.

You're gonna have to get with God on that one, Myrna. I've racked my brains over it too and the only answer I can come up with is "Because God wills it to be so."

     :kick-can:

Correct. You will see on the thread one member saying that a ban had already been in place, but the mod's ban of the subject was on an un-stickied thread and it fell to the bottom pages, thus people continued to discuss sedevacantism.

  • It makes some people :scared2: :scared2: :scared2:

They would rather be with the :devil2: and the  :heretic: :heretic: in Newchurch than being a :detective: and  :reading: about  the possibility of sedevacantism.

  • Sedevacantism is generally regarded as contagious.
