Calling those people with whom we disagree mentally ill is a favorite tactic of certain groups.

Like commies and those who are "on the level"?

    Quote
Fr. Cekada complained about the money wasted on the Terris of the world, and called the people who disagreed with him "Oprah watchers" and again, insulted the highly qualified neurologists who disputed the pro-euthanasia judge's findings.

As I recall, someone within our Lord's intimate circle lamented similarly when a "silly woman" poured out perfume upon his sacred feet - hmm. :scratchchin:  S'all 'bout da MUH-NEE, honey!

  • It took her 18 days to die, by the way.
    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

My Avatar is Fr. Hector Bolduc. He was a faithful parish priest in De Pere, WI,

  • Parentsfortruth, I always forget that dreadful number, because it is impossible, isn't it?  Aren't we taught that it takes 3 days to expire from dehydration?

I pray that Our Lady asked her if she would do this and Terri said Yes, I will do this to save souls.

  • Sorry I can't do links, but if you google wfts radio, and click on News and Picture Links (front page) there is an excellant report by a neurologist, Dr. Gebel.

I have been trying to get Fr. Cekada's followers to read the entire WFTS Radio Schaivo piece for years.  Fr. Cekada misrepresented several key people and facts in order to promote the murder of Terri Schaivo.

Matthew, can you put this up for us please?

  • You can post links here, and if you have a large file that needs posting you might be surprised -- I have a generous limit on file uploads.

  • I would, but I am very tech-challanged and recently messed up a laptop.

(I only recently learned how to use Quote Functions.)

But the WFTS piece is very important for illustrating in a sane and charitable manner what people are up against here.  It is a very serious issue, I think.

This is an understatement, my dear lady.  Such an indefensible, clearly woman-hating position is HUGE - and should have involved some kind of figurative tar and feathering.  The fact that a couple of his associates defended him is telling, as is the blind support of sycophants.

I am printing off the pertinent docuмents tonight, as I was largely 'out of it' for a good chunk of the time, recovering from a nasty car accident.

IMO, this matter should never be allowed to die until his feet are held to the fire publicly and intensely.

  • A quote from Fr C's initial response to Dr Gebel:

"...I do not want my parishioners to be left with the impression...that something is a mortal sin when it is not. ... Don't try to invent a mortal sin where there is none..."

Considering Fr C's pronouncement that assisting at Mass offered una cuм Benedicto is a mortal sin - a 'sin' found NOWHERE in ANY of his moral theology manuals - I find the above statement rather laughable.

Btw, during his first 25+ years as a priest, Fr C saw nothing wrong about an act he NOW publicly teaches is a mortal sin.  He even had the gall to say that it only takes ten seconds' reflection to see the substantial disconnect between belief and practice invovled in such a scenario.

Speculate on this and other matters all you want, Fr C, but you can keep your invented sins to yourself.
