MONDAY OF HOLY WEEK (A.D. 2014)
ST. JUSTIN, ST. TIBURTIUS & COMPANIONS
I found this quote online when researching about one of the Martyr's, and I thought it sounded quite odd.
Someone used it as their tagline, along with many others and is attributing it to PJPII:
"From Mary we learn to surrender to God's will in all things.
From Mary we learn to trust when all hope is gone.
From Mary we learn to trust her Son and Christ the Son of God."
Am I reading it wrong?
Does he make a distinction between her Son and Christ the Son of God?
Or Perhaps my headache is just having me read into things.
Can someone help clarify?
p.s. BTW, I did some research on the source of this quote and on the Vatican website they have it worded as: "From Mary, we learn to love Christ, her Son and the Son of God." Subtle differences, either most people who quote him are wrong or the Curia has been busy scrubbing clean internet traces where they can.
