40, I’m an older millennial! I am familiar with that style of music and enjoy it but unfortunately can’t dance like those guys. What’s YOUR age? In UK no one says ‘coloured’ for black people, except my late grandmother and her generation (she died 15 years ago). I think Americans use that term.
Middle-of-the-era Boomer, born out of time! No, I’m blessed to walk with a cane. Can’t dance at all and when I could, not that way! I’m white, Irish/Polish/Russian. No, we definitely do not say colored in the US unless you have a death wish. I meant it tongue-in-cheek, (ironic humor!) My parents’ generation said colored until the late 1970’s. After that, it was “African American,” then, Persons of Color, and now, just “Black” with capital B only if race must be mentioned. You can’t specify gender anymore, even if it’s obvious. Example, “The person ran all 26.2 miles and they reached the finish line in eight hours.”
