  • Sorry fellow CathInfo ers!
I love to spread positivity, but I just saw something over at the Remnant about "dancing liturgical bears..."
I don't know how to cut and paste a link to the article yet, but take my word for it, it will make you think that you just woke up in a parallel universe where nothing makes sense! Especially the strange and sappy rationale for them made by the Animal Rights nαzιs...
(Don't get upset! I am a Franciscan and animal lover, I just don't think that they belong at Holy Mass!)
Sorry, had to vent.... Thanks for listening!

    Michaela,

Someone already caught this story and posted it.

    Pope approves of dancing bears

This story is supposed to be a spoof, but I believe the Pope recently brought the Circus to the Vatican.

This is reminiscent of the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ acrobats he who performed for him at the Vatican a couple of years ago.
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

michaela benedicta, it really is not so big of a deal - the NO "mass" is not holy nor is it even "the Mass" - something to be thankful about in this case - sort of.
Additionally, such a thing is not really new - maybe the dancing bears are a spoof, but the idea is intrinsic and has been often applied with various different acts of entertainment over the last 50 years in the new "mass".

What you read in the Remnant is precisely what the new "mass" is all about!........... it is of the very essence of the "New Mass" to permit every form of profanation, because the "New Mass" makes the good pleasure of the people its "liturgy." - The Great Sacrilege by Fr. Wathen (1971)

"But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men." - Acts 5:29

The Highest Principle in the Church: "We are first of all under obedience to God, and only then under obedience to man" - Fr. Hesse

  • What I think is sad --

It's very, very difficult to come up with something so zany and out-there that people won't confuse it with what goes on at the Novus Ordo on a weekly basis.

Several times I wanted to come up with a "parable" to describe the Crisis in the Church, Novus Ordo, etc. and I decided that I couldn't out-do the original. In the case of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo, the REALITY is more shocking and outlandish than any "parable" I could ever come up with.

Truth is often stranger than fiction.

  • Yes, Matthew, that is true!
Dancing liturgical bears aside, I did see something on Tradition in Action about these priests that allow their dogs to wear "vestments" and loll about on the N.O. altar...
    Disturbing and cry-worthy!
Our Lord and Our Mommy Mary need true friends and warriors in these times...god grant that we are some of them!!!
