Yeah, just imagine it!  An excommunicable offense over denying so-called historical events which never occurred.  It's like having the threat of excommunication hanging over one's head for denying that Chicken Little was wrong in claiming that the sky was falling in.  We know that the pope and his people are not clear on some vital aspects of WWII ry.  But why does the Society have to seemingly play along with this ignorance?

I think it's a safe bet most of the SSPX leadership are not historical revisionists regarding the number of dead in the Holocaust.  The problem is that they now seem afraid to talk about the Jewish question and are in fact working to placate Jews.  That is really unacceptable.

  • No one is insisting that Society leaders become "historical revisionists."  I think, though, we can reaonably insist that these guardians of the truth at least attempt to get real history straight, that they not march in unthinking lockstep with the purveyors of popular historical fictions.  "(H)istorical revisionists" is a phrase, like "conspiracy theorists" which creates an instant stigma against alternative historical renderings and frees detractors from the responsibility of having to answer serious challenges to the historical narrative.
