  • If these two persons are indeed in Heaven, they had to have repented of their grave sins of destroying the teachings of God; as a Catholic we are not to judge the soul of anyone.

It is possible they saved their soul in the end, who knows. Purgatory perhaps?

Everyone  and anyone in Heaven are saints.  However Francis has no authority or power to declare that they did save their soul, therefore his show today at the Vatican was just another mockery of the Church.

God's planning is most perfect, and where God is time does not exist, we will see what God has planned for these wolves in sheep's clothing who continue to mock Him and His Church.

    "Watch and Pray"

    Please pray for my soul.

  • Martin Luther bid them farewell with the parting words "Until we meet again in 3 1/2 years."  He remains a little bitter as his stay will apparently be close 5 centuries.  JPII's foresight to streamline the canonization process & eliminate official naysayers was nothing less than brilliant.  His only regret is not devising a way to sneak his koran in.

  • Is this thread for real ?

It must have been quite the show up there when St Pius X got his hands on those two.

How do you you know St John Paul's intention?

    Hebrews 12:14

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness: without which no man shall see God."

    Matthew 28:19

"Going therefore, teach ye all nations;"

  • ie: you will judge him without knowing his intention.

Shortly before he died, St. Francis of Assisi called together his followers and warned them of the coming troubles, saying:

    1. The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase.

    2. The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity.

    John 8:48-50

"The Jєωs therefore answered, and said to him: Do not we say well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? Jesus answered: I have not a devil: but I honour my Father, and you have dishonoured me.  But I seek not my own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth."

"The mystery of salvation is revealed to us and is continued and accomplished in the Church, and from this genuine and single source ... it reaches the whole world. Dear young people, and members of the faithful ... we have to be conscious of and absorb this fundamental and revealed truth, contained in the phrase consecrated by tradition: There is no salvation outside the Church. From her alone there flows surely and fully the life-giving force destined, in Christ and in His Spirit, to renew the whole of humanity, and therefore directing every human being to become a part of the Mystical Body of Christ."

    Pope John Paul II

Curiously, Saint Francis of Assisi was never canonized.

  • "On July 16, 1228, he was pronounced a saint by Pope Gregory IX (the former cardinal Ugolino di Conti, friend of St Francis and Cardinal Protector of the Order). The next day, the Pope laid the foundation stone for the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi. He was buried on May 25, 1230, under the Lower Basilica, but his tomb was soon hidden on orders of Brother Elias to protect it from Saracen invaders. His burial place remained unknown until it was discovered in 1818. Pasquale Belli then constructed for his remains a crypt in neo-classical style in the Lower Basilica. It was refashioned between 1927 and 1930 into its present form by Ugo Tarchi, stripping the wall of its marble decorations. In 1978, the remains of St. Francis were examined and confirmed by a commission of scholars appointed by Pope Paul VI, and put into a glass urn in the ancient stone tomb. Saint Francis is considered the first Italian poet by literary critics.[34] He believed commoners should be able to pray to God in their own language, and he wrote often in the dialect of Umbria instead of Latin. His writings are considered to have great literary and religious value"
