  • When you know someone is a modernist, then you need to realize they will never care that much about social issues.

The lip service to social issues is the hook that keeps "conservative" Catholics in the pews.

"The Pope also speaks of his hope that the ideals of freedom and justice, which guided the Founding Fathers of the United States of America, may continue to shine out as the nation progresses,"

Not true freedom and justice, as taught by the Church, but the freedom and justice which guided the Founding Fathers???

This man claims to be the vicar of Christ?

It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

  • The HHS Mandate didn't stop 50% of "Catholics" from voting for him, and a lot of it is because the conciliar church has no backbone. This is only one more example. What Bendict should do is tell Catholics that they are excommunicated if they support Obama. But no, he congratulates him on winning.

And it was the same thing with Cardinal Dolan, who should have condemned the evil actions of Obama and told people not to vote for him. Instead he invited Obama to the Catholic charity dinner a few weeks ago and shared some laughs with him. Pathetic!

Also, an apologist on "Catholic" Answers had this to say, in regards to whether or not it was a sin to vote for Obama:

    Quote
All people have an obligation to inform their consciences regarding the moral choices they make in life. For Catholics to deliberately refuse to inform their consciences with the teachings of the Church or if they deliberately disobey the moral teaching of the Church, they can sin mortally if the choice is a serious one. But if people sincerely follow their consciences, whether their consciences are well informed or through no fault of their own they are not, they do not sin by acting on them

That is ridiculous, wishy-washy nonsense. People who vote for someone like Obama don't sin as long as they are "sincere"?
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.
