On the other hand, and hideous it is, the Confessional has been violated often by predators who abused the Sacrament. The predators are brilliant at manipulating confused and vulnerable souls. We are all vulnerable in the Confessional! Imagine the boy who "feels different"! Predators know that all kids feel different and weird, especially during the latency phase.
God only knows what these creatures deserve for annihilating the souls of penitents! In the "colony" they also use the Confessional to "absolve" one another. It's too horrible. I'm fine with execution for this type of crime, or using them to clean up radioactive waste.
A very liberal and generally politically correct agnostic friend of mine once, to my surprise, suggested using such people as organ banks.
I know of one specific case were a predatory priest used the confessional to manipulate a young boy into a position where he could molest him. The boy was ten when the abuse began. When he told the diocese at the age of 17, the episcopal lap dog who spoke to him responded,"Oh good. We already know about him. I was afraid it was something new. The young man's pastor when he was 17 told him, "To hell with the bishop. Go to the police." Which he did.
