Medjugorje didn't start out that way. It seemed promising, at first. And 'the usual suspects' seemed to oppose it. That helped with credibility.

But one thing that really seemed odd was the volume of messages, that really said nothing, or added nothing to those before. Month after month, year after year. That started to look odd. Then a few messages showed up that just - weren't right. And the seers seemed hardly changed in their behavior, in their lives.

And I think more than a few years ago people had to face the fact that this had all the makings of a fraud.

There are some who even question Fatima, and that the 'faith will not be lost in Portugal'. People look at Portugal and say - where is Catholicism? Never mind Ireland. What about Portugal? Perhaps it is has not been lost, but is hidden?

I also marvel at the fact that Ivan, wherever he travels with his "P.T. Barnum" style show manages to have the Mother of God materialize on demand. Like he carries her in a suitcase. That and the fact that the whole thing is like the area surrounding Elvis's Graceland with people hawking all sorts of junk. Especially the requisite Holy Rosary complete with color changing chains. Yikes!!  When the followers speak of this they go into some sort of trance like vocal pattern.
