The Remnant recently posted a few videos from the SP pilgrimage to Rome, including highlights from the precession and TLM celebrated at St. Peters:
I'm so happy to see the Mass of All Time celebrated at the main altar of St. Peter's, but it's sad that it's relegated to being celebrated only once a year. Evidently though, a private TLM is celebrated daily at a side altar (the Remnant has a video of this), but it seems that few are in attendance, from the video.
It would have been a wonderful gesture if Benedict would have attended this Mass at St. Peters. But I hope that it would at least give Pope Francis pause for thought, as it is evident that the TLM and Sacred Tradition aren't as dead as he would like them to be.
At least the tourists who were visiting St. Peters at the time the Mass was celebrated were treated to something truly Catholic.
The Pope had a balloon party going on outside in St. Peter's square on the same day.
It was actually a circus, topped off with balloons, shirtless men doing acrobatic tricks, protestants songs, in particular the "we are the world" hulabaloo, and God knows what else.
He was in attendance so we can see what are Rome's priorities. It's not like they didn't know the TLM would be going on on the same day as their party. It's obvious what's going on.
I wasn't aware of the Pope's balloon party. Oh well, that's to be expected of a modernist I suppose, in trying to draw attention away from the TLM inside. Still, Francis is aware, then, after all, of the impact of the TLM and tradition, still alive in the hearts and minds of some Catholics. And at least the modernists were on the outside of the basilica with their hootenany, and the TLM on the inside for a change. Even if it's only once a year. A little tiny consolation, I guess.
Meg, if you are consoled by being slapped in the face and spit on, they'll keep slapping you in the face and spitting on you.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).
