    • While reading through my copy of Chateaubriand's Essay On Revolutions I encontered an alternate explanation as to why the Luther revolted.

    Acc to the author it was simply because another order was given the authority to grant indulgences and Luther would have been just fine with the situation if the Augustinians had been chosen.   :heretic:
