Removing priestly celibacy would be a despicable thing because it opens a whole can of worms to a plethora of potentially sinful situations with regards to the marital act and the sanctity of marriage. The chances of a priest sacrilegiously offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in mortal sin would be much higher.
I don't follow. How does being married (as opposed to single) make one any more likely to be in mortal sin?(NOTE: I'm vehemently against married priests -- read my other posts on this topic. I'm just asking this one question)
The mass should be offered by the chaste hands of a Virgin male priest who has no temptations against chastity
Quote from: soulguardThe mass should be offered by the chaste hands of a Virgin male priest who has no temptations against chastityThey can't even have "temptations"? That would seriously limit the number of Masses that could ever be offered. As for "virgin", many of the Apostles had been married, and many Eastern Rite priests have always been married.
If they are used to getting their freak on they will not be able to turn off the music whence a foxy lady is on the dancefloor.
