  • Have a look at this fascinating essay by Fr. Cekada. Many of you, no doubt, have already studied it:

    http://www.traditionalmass.org/images/articles/NineVLefebvre.pdf

Who can refute what he says?

Note: the mentally ill - those, for example, who are subject to "breakdown episodes," whose chronic depression leads to anger, whose anger leads to blowups, whose blowups eventually pass but lead to guilt over the anger, whose guilt then leads back to the chronic depression - are invited not to participate in this thread. I thank you.

  • Quote from: Interview with Father Richard Williamson Concerning Recent Divisions within the Society of St. Pius X
The second question was: "Who owns the church properties?" That is a difficult question. It depends on each area, each chapel, and each corporation. For instance, there is one corporation which owns the chapel at Redford in Detroit and another corporation which owns the chapel at Armada. Now, at the end of the conversation held at Oyster Bay Cove on April 27 between these priests and the Archbishop, these priests told the Archbishop that they owned many of these properties. They themselves said they controlled, for instance, the Seminary, and Father Kelly said that they have control of the property of the Seminary in a way that the Archbishop does not have control. Father Cekada, a few moments later, said regarding the Missions: "We are the owners."

  • Remember, this is what Fr. Tony Cekada said on Fisheaters Forum, in 2008:

    Quote from: Fr. Cekada
Our  ”concession,”  though,  was  one  worthy  of  Tom Sawyer, because  it actually worked  in our  favor. Since we had already paid off the mortgages on both properties, we could  now  re-mortgage  them  for  around  $125,000  and $20,000 respectively.

And the best part: just a few months after SSPX would take  the  churches  over,  both  balances  could  come  due  in full  as  balloon  payments,  because  these  were  the  exact terms and conditions in force on  the mortgages existing as of April 27, 1983. This was  the Nine’s  little housewarming gift for the Society.

So we ended up paying only $205,000 on the overall settlement - a 40%  reduction, and not a bad deal for six properties. I refrained from asking Fr. Williamson to throw in some Frequent Flyer miles… "

"It saved our congregations — the people who PAID for the churches SSPX was getting — $145,000 that could be put towards the purchase of new churches where they wouldn't have to worry about doubtfully-ordained priests.

Remember, SSPX didn't pay for those churches, and as far as we were concerned, they had no moral right to them anyway."

Of course, Fr. Bazzkada's concern for any "moral right" was self-serving as he would later prove in Columbus, Ohio in 2010. Fr. Cekada and his companion in crime, Bishop Dolan, are thieves.
It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

  • Thank you, SJB.  I had not read that gem from AC.  He really is a piece of work.  It is amazing that anyone still believes him about anything.

  • He's so smug about how he stole those properties -- I hope people can see the truth about him.

Get a load of this interview:
    http://truerestoration.blogspot.com/2008/10/interview-with-fr-anthony-cekada.html

    Quote from: Cekada Interview
Are there sedevacantist clergy in the Society?
Oh yes. They have to live under this sort of Maoist regime. Let me explain. The latest case of a sedevacantist priest in the Society – he has to have all his parish bulletins reviewed by a Society superior…

Yes, the same way Fr. Bazzkada threw 125 printed church bulletins in the trash and wouldn't say even tell why until he was pressed very hard. He and his companion Bishop had another miscommunication (like many husbands and wives do) causing Tony to cover for him. Daniel had failed to approve the bulletin in a timely manner so it went to print without his blessing (but was approved by the parish coordinators). Tony confiscated the bulletins without saying anything and wasn't interested in giving any explanations. He had no problem with the content of the bulletin, just wanted to make sure we knew he was in control.

    Quote from: Cekada Interview
So this is a true story, not some rumor…

No, it’s true. He’s also been instructed to write a self-critique of sedevacantism…

    Oh, that’s vintage Mao. Self-accusations…
Well, yes, in the Society we had those things too – we had the “Let 1,000 Flowers Bloom” and the “Democracy Wall” and all that, but then there were purges. I don’t know if this priest will be assigned to a work camp…

I was told by a MHT priest that I should accuse myself (vintage Mao) and write a letter of apology to everyone. When I asked him what I should apologize for, he paused for a long time and then said, it would be a “good exercise of humility.”  I shared this story with Fr. Ercoli and he just laughed and said, “That would be an exercise in stupidity, not humility!”

  • Well, at sgg.org/cult, stupidity and humility are pretty much the same thing -- that is why Don Carlos had to escape the asylum.
