Only about 1,100 Christians live in Gaza, according to a US Department of State report in 2024. The majority of Palestinian Christians are Greek Orthodox, but there are also Roman Catholics living there.

There will be even fewer Palestinian Christians soon if Israel is not stopped.

The article refers to the church that was attacked as “a Latin Church”, are we to take from that the church celebrates the Tridentine Rite?

No. It probably means that it is a Catholic, and not an Orthodox Church.
