I'm new to this Catholic forum, but from what I've read from Stevus so far,...he or she seems like a modernist

    No, he's a lawyer.

  • I'm still waiting for Stevus to illustrate for forum members what he means by "conspiracy theories."  But it seems that he can not stop obessing on sedevacantism long enough to take offer an explanation.  He talks about this "obsession" with the sedes.  Why, all of this posts thus far on this thread have been nothing but an obession with sedes.

The sedes can disagree all they want in the crisis section. They just can't discuss sedevacantism or call BXVI an "anti-pope" etc.

I think it would be nice if there were a subforum where people who approach the crisis one way (there is a Pope) can go back and forth and have that discussion without being constantly interrupted with sede arguments coming from a completely different mindset.

Then have the same thing for the sedes. Just an idea.

Really stevus, now you are dictating what mindset can/cannot discuss/contribute in the Crisis section.

I'm not dictating anything. Just an idea to allow SSPX'ers a chance to discuss the crisis without contsantly running into anti-pope arguments and accusations. Otherwise every thread can be derailed into sedevacantism.

There already is a forum for SSPX lovers only.  And it is as dead as dead can be.  Maybe you can go there and liven things up.

On a forum like Angelqueen they'll say you can go other forums to discuss that.

They often don't even do that. They simply lock threads.

If there is ever an actually interesting discussion going on in an AQ thread, you can be sure it will be locked ASAP.

The only acceptable threads there seem to be posts of one to two lines sporting a joke or a picture.

AQ turns every serious thread into a joke.

Hard to believe AQ was ever good, but it actually was about four years ago.

I'm not a modernist. You came in right as I was trying to make sense of a ribald hypothetical the Pope laid on it. I think I understand it now, though who really cares since it is academic anyway. The point is that the Pope's words in this interview book are causing mass confusion and is a bad thing.

I'm not talking about things like the Masons and Communists. I just mean some crackpot theories I see from time to time.

Look, I have no problem with the Sedes as individuals. I was just blowing off some steam because I was looking for conversation regarding the crisis from a non-Sede perspective.

Did you find one in which everyone wasn't making excuses, justifying and rationalizing?

If you are a sede, and he is not Pope, then who cares what he said?

Obviously the people who are going to be invested one way or another are people who believe he is Pope. And that is where the true discussion lies.

Sede Vacantists are a tiny minority of Catholics.  Everybody cares about impurity coming from the Vatican.  Even those who use the prophylatics will sense a spiritual let-down.

The whole world just got worse.

  • Might doesn't make right.

And not "everybody" cares about impurity coming from the Vatican.   If that were so, the crisis wouldn't be that bad because it would show that Catholics still had a Catholic sense.  I am certain that many are quite happy about the recent turn of events.

correction: Everybody here cares about impurity coming from the Vatican.

I never said or implied that 'might makes right', Alexandria.  I was highlighting and responding to Stevus' dismissal of sede vacantist reactions to B16's interviews.

That is how I took the above sentence...meaning, how on earth could a "tiny minority of Catholics" be right?

  • I'd like to substitute "Angel Queen" for "Cath Info" in the title of this thread...

The only one here that should go is Stevus, and take your smug, self-righteous defender John Steven with you who thinks he is better than everyone ("Thank you, lord, that I am not like the rest of these people....").

Go back to CAF where you both fit in and belong.

Go back to where? I have no idea what you are babbling about.

You might want to re-think that statement.
