Our salvation will not depend upon our opinion on this crisis of faith. Many "novus ordo" catholics will be saved while ostensible "traditional catholics" will be lost through rash judgment, calumny and pride. The virtue of faith is not instrinsic to ecclesiastical tradition or even the rites of the Mass. There are many in good faith that remain in a state of grace even though they hold many errors, both traditional and new. WE all have aquired many bad habits that must be purged away. But forming opinions about theology and other doctrinal or ecclesiastical matters do not contribute an ounce to this necessary work, in fact, they probably add to our burdens.
