I think this will bring more attention to Mel's faith than it will do anything to harm the reputation of Mel.

Heck no! What a joke. There is a career for Mahoney if we ever get a real Pope to kick HIM out of the Church. He can sell Sham-Wow on late night T.V. No one knows how to sell a sham like Roger the Mad.

I don't know about that, but he is a "traditionalist" ... so no wonder the novus crowd wouldn't accept him as a "real Catholic".

It's the old, "oh, you're a trad, so you're excommunicated" thing, I think... Or that's what it sounds like to me anyhow.

I have heard something about him lending some credence to the "Siri-Gregory XVII Theory" or "Fact" if you ascribe to it.
