I urge you to go here and comment on this post:

Cardinal Koch: Pope Benedict XVI in first step of a "reform of the reform"

Don't waste your time asking how poison can enrich a gourmet meal (the analogy is imperfect, I know). I did so earlier and he refused to post my comment. Speak the truth but keep in mind that you're dealing with a Neo site.

    This caught my eye though...

    Quote
The pope's long-term aim is not simply to allow the old and new rites to coexist, but to move toward a "common rite" that is shaped by the mutual enrichment of the two Mass forms, Cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, said May 14.

    TLM ( :incense:) + NOM ( :dancing-banana:) = ?

I know. Nauseating. Here's what I posted as a comment:

    Quote
The traditional Mass needs no "enrichment," especially from the fabricated, banal, on-the-spot product of the Novus Ordo. Poison enriches nothing. Poison only kills.

Liturgical vandals, STOP! Keep your filthy hands off the Mass! Become Protestants once and for all!

I should have known it wouldn't make it through.

  • Look here:

    http://wdtprs.com/blog/2011/05/what-the-ordinary-form-brings-to-the-extraordinary-form-the-question-of-mutual-enrichment/

"Fr. Z" is embracing the idea of the Chie Ecuмenist and is running with it!

In some odd parallel universe the "OF" beautifullly enriches the TLM!

  • The two don't mix. The TLM is infinitely superior to the NO. Benedict just wants to mix the two. I'm afraid that if this happens, there may come a day when there will be no form to choose from. Hopefully the three days of darkness will come before that occurs.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Jit,

The Neos have egg shell skins. You have to tip toe so carefully just to get a comment through their mods, by the time it is showed up it is so watered down it loses effect.

They violently stamp out any and all opposing persuasive voices lest the sheeple start asking pesky questions and realize the Emporer really does have no clothes. They then would lose their invisible "Springtime" garment  tailoring business.

Nowhere is what you say truer than on the Ignatius Insight Scoop blog. The censorship is rigorous. The Catholic Answers site is up there too, along with the Crisis mag site.

  • So the "reform of the reform" has been trudging along now for how long? Ever more slowly creeping towards the elusive goal of the "true meaning" of the Council which will lead us all to ever verdant pastures and lands of milk and honey!

What a crock. By the time these idiots wise up and figure out their elusive goal is an impossible load of crap and start down a Catholic road I'll probably be long gone.

It's like being transported back to the first years of the Arian crisis knowing you are going to have to live your entire Catholic life on the fringes of the Church & Society because the idiots in Rome & the bishops won't figure out they are clueless until after your lifetime.

For years to come now we'll be hearing, ad nauseum, the code phrase "mutual enrichment." Uggghhh.....

  • Yes. "ordinary form", "extraordinary form", "mutual enrichment", "reform of the reform", "hermeneutic of continuity"....

All words immediately devoured and worshipped by the salivating sychophant Neo-Caths who act like BXVI and the Curia are manifestations of Christ Himself, dictating His will and commanding blind unthinking assimilation and assent.

They are downright GIDDY at this horrendous news that the Pope apparently wishes some sort of eventual synthesis of the mass of man and the Mass of God. They BELIEVE that the two are mutually enriching. Why? Because BXVI SAYS they are. And so does the "Chief Ecuмenist". Then later so does Fr. Z, and so does Jimmy Akin, and then George Weigel. And suddenly they all realize the utter GENIUS of what BXVI has said. They ponder it, "develop" it, "unpack" its brilliance, write books about it, then more books, then they offer classes about it, soon they are offering a PhD in "Hermeneutical Studies". It is a complete cult of personality. These types are complete papolatrous Neo-ultramontanes. They are automaton drones like those members of a cult you see always smiling having bought the flowery false reality of their leader.

It is simply MADDENING. I suppose living life outside of the Matrix is depressing. The Neo-Caths all chose to take the pill where you wake up the next day and don't remember anything. Us idiots, for good or ill, chose the one to let us see the truth. And here we are...

  • The truth is some said this was the intent all along.  Sure, they were, par for the course, scorned or shouted down, but time has a way of revealing all.  This is just the Hegelian dialectic in action:

    Thesis + antithesis = synthesis
"Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is all man."

Which reminds me: the other day I put a copy of the Douay-Rheims Psalms/New Testament in the "Eucharistic Chapel" here at the University of Dallas. Today - POOF! - it's gone. What replaced it? Witness to Hope. Of course!
