Title: Can someone explain the Great Monarch and Angelic Pastor to me?
Post by: forlorn on February 03, 2019, 11:02:21 AM
These are End Times prophecies I've vaguely heard referenced and I tried reading up on them, but I have no idea how they're meant fit into the Revelations narrative which seems to make no mention of them. Can someone more knowledgeable on this sort of thing please explain? Thank you.

Thank you, I don't know how I didn't think of that.

Here is a thread started in 2009 (yes, CathInfo has been around for a while!):

PS. Please note the large number of participants in the thread who haven't been seen in CathInfo in years. Just think: some people might have left CathInfo because they couldn't stand one of those people. Think about it.

The Great Monarch will come from a socioeconomically poor, perhaps destitute, background. He may come from obscurity. His person is not known by most people, except his loved ones such as his family, but there are even family members who are indifferent to, or despise, him. He's ignored by most people who come into contact with him or see him. His formal education will be low, if any, but he will be intelligent. He will not have the privilege of aristocratic lineage and connections. His only advantage will be Jesus Christ. He'll be strong and physically capable but meek, and he'll have some history of physically putting down foes to God and his family. He will be a simple man of deep Faith like a child. His pride will be low, and his fear of God will be high. He will have a chaste mind and heart even when struggling with the natural drive to know women. He fears God. The Christ's love and painful Sacrifice for him and God's children truly resonates with him, which is why he tries to avoid sin. He puts the Christ before his selfish indulgences and passions. When the Chastisement occurs, all conduits and gatekeepers to worldly success will be obliterated and made obsolete. The last will be made first, and the first will be made last. Past aristocracies and royal lineage failed God due to their lukewarmness, sin, faithlessness, and love for mammon. They and their descendants will have no part in restoring the Social Kingship of Christ on earth after the Chastisement. God will make way for this man to arise and restore His peace and Kingship for some time.

There will, also, come a holy man who preaches the absolute necessity of baptism with water and Spirit for salvation. Just as St. John the Forerunner baptized many before the Christ publicly began His Ministry and, thus, established the necessary formula in John 3:5 and built His Church, this holy man will arise before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This new baptizer will face great opposition, including from people who claim to profess the Catholic Faith and holy tradition. Eventually, this holy man will be murdered by those who secretly and publicly gnash their teeth at what Christ tells us in John 3:5. His murderer will be a Jezebel, just as it was a wicked whore who had St. John the Baptist murdered. This new whore could be Newchurch with their agents operating in, and seeking the annihilation of, the true Catholic Church which is reduced to a remnant.
