Bp Fulton Sheen

Am I the only one who has always gotten weird vibes from him?
Even before I learned about his embrace of Vatican II I found him uncomfortable
to watch or listen to. At first I attributed it to his very dramatic, affected manner of
speaking but I sensed an Elmer Gantry element to him

As in "lavender" vibes?  Absolutely.  Master Thespians, i.e. those who are most adept at acting, very often have that "flair", that certain, oh "je ne sais quoi".

I too have always found him to have a "creepy" vibe, for lack of a better word.

He was a modernist. It's very obvious. Many Catholic today are too easily fooled by popularity. Ripperger is another good example. (NO orders so unreliable for exorcism, plus the Church was never public about these matters in such a manner as he is).

I see Fulton Sheen as a "silent communist".  I do wonder about Bella Dodd and Sheen.  I wonder if they put on a show.  Bella Dodd knew cardinals by name who were communist. Then Bella wants to be catholic? and Sheen will bring her the sacraments for her conversion.  I question the situation.

How does it go:  if you are a communist or of a secret society and you want out, is it not death?  This issue is eerie.
