  • I am wondering if anyone has heard how Bishop McKenna is since his move to Michigan. I have heard that he is with Bishop Neville. A family member stopped by St. Dominic's in Michigan but there was nobody there. And, phone calls to the number listed are not answered.
I do not know anything about Bishop  Neville as I live in another state.
I do know that Bishop McKenna is very ill.

  • Indeed he is. Does anyone know of Bishop Neville? I was wondering if anyone was present when the Bishop said goodbye or if anyone has seen him now that he is in Michigan.
It will be a sad day indeed for those left behind when he passes. I have never met him personally but two that are very dear to me have met him.

Yes I know of Bishop Neville, and I have known of Bp Mc Kenna since the late 1960's when I was a youngster. He administered Confirmation to some family members and I have even served some Masses for him in the Domincan rite. I know some people who were attending his Masses up until he had to retire from Monroe, but I have not heard how he is doing at present.

  • His move was very sudden. One of my friends had spoken with him and was intending to meet with Bishop McKenna that very week. The Bishop called to confirm the meeting and was looking forward to it. The meeting was temporarily postponed. Then word was sent that the Bishop had left for Michigan.
