  • From Jan 1st-4th Bishop Donald Sanborn will be visiting England, once a solid centre of Christendom before Henry VIII imagined himself the head of the Church in England and birthed the apostatical Anglican sect and, unwittingly, the nonconfessional United States. There are some faithful who are serious about establishing a permanent and regular non-una-cuм Mass centre in the UK in addition to what is currently available and the Bishop will be meeting those people and speaking at different locations throughout the country, as well as hearing confessions and saying Mass.

Even if you do not agree with the sedevacantist position, at least consider attending to hear the evidence. At least then you can say you have thoroughly explored every avenue. The attendance of the British at the Bishop's landmark Vatican II London Conference this time last year was unimpressive to say the least. If the SSPX and Resistance folks are so secure in their arguments, why do they shy away from a golden opportunity to prove that their position is right? Are there serious thinkers in the UK, unafraid of reasonable debate? Or are people just happy to do whatever the SSPX or Bishop Williamson tells them, just as "good Catholics" in the 1960s followed their false pastors? This series of talks will reveal the UK's commitment, strength, honesty, and resilience.

On January 1st he will say Mass in Leicestershire, England. The program will be as follows:

    11am Confessions

    Noon Mass

    130pm Lunch

    230pm The Bergoglian Era

    330pm The Una cuм Mass

430pm The Errors of Bishop Williamson

There will be a break in between each talk.

On January 2nd-4th he will say Mass in London, England. The program will be as follows:

    January 2nd

    11am Confessions

    Noon Mass

    130pm Lunch

    230pm Spiritual Conference: Mental Prayer

    January 3rd

    11am Confessions

    Noon Mass

    130pm Lunch

    230pm Spiritual Conference: Humility

    January 4th

    11am Confessions

    Noon Mass

    230pm The Bergoglian Era

    330pm The Una cuм Mass

430pm The Errors of Bishop Williamson

There will be a break in between each talk.

For more details and to RSVP please contact info@tridentinemasssociety.co.uk or message the group in the UK on twitter.

Interesting topic given that he's going to Bishop Williamson's back yard.

  • The "Oyster bay Cove" gang took a major hit in Jan. of this year when novusordo watch put out the 2004 debate with Fastiggi. Maybe that is why none really cares what Sanborn has to say?

Last time I checked, Bishop Sanborn does not agree with the sedevacantist position, because he's a sedeprivationist.

Well, let's see here... maybe Bishop Sanborn should discuss his own errors first and repent, and then publicly acknowledge he (+Sanborn) was in error, for bringing a civil suit against the good Archbishop Lefebvre. Bringing a civil suit against a bishop violates Old Code of Canon Law, and effects an automatic excommunication.

As much as I dislike Bp. Sanborn, I'm not sure that applies, given the irregular state of things. Also, we would need to see the exact wording of the suit and delve into the legalities regarding the status of the SSPX during sede vacante.

  • On a related matter, I have heard now several times from people close to Father Jenkins that the reason for the falling out between Bishop Kelly and the rest of the SSPV is that Bishop Kelly et al. refuse to go through body scanners and therefore won't travel.

Ever since Bp. Sanborn rejected the popes of Vatican II, he has always been positively supportive of the sedevacantist position as being the true position. You should drop the "sedeprivationist" terminology because that was invented by someone who was against the "papa materialiter" distinction. That distinction (which Bp. Sanborn subscribes to) fully supports the outright belief that the popes of Vatican II are NOT true popes.

Listen, Ding Dong, try using some critical thinking before viewing things in black and white, and subsequently spewing out ignorant comments. It's no wonder you've made 611 comments on this forum, yet your reputation is an anemic 64.  :laugh2: While the privationist position is that Francis is only a material pope, he can become fully the pope, hence infallibility in matters of the Faith, morality, Canon Law and declaring sainthood, if he converts to the true Catholic Faith, and rescinds Vatican II Council and the novus queerdo mass. Moreover, since Francis is a material pope, that means the bishops and priests are material clergy, too, thus they can effect the Sacraments because the ordinations are still valid. The sedevacantist position, however, basically says there is little to zero opportunity to restore the papacy and episcopacy because almost all of the bishops and clergy are "not validly ordained", thus nobody could confer episcopal consecrations to restore the magisterium and papacy, in the event that Francis and cardinals decided to convert.

  • Sedeprivationist was the words of Bishop Sanborn, I read in a question and answer session, and I think that was Steven H. ?  Correct me if I am wrong.  Sedprivation was defined in that Q. and Q session to mean, IF the present pope is sorrowful for him being an heretic and such, then he can remain pope.  Hm?  My opinion to that is, IF that would be the case, humility would say, no, I can not remain pope.  I was nominated as a heretic, non-catholic and that nomination was invalid.

  • songbird - I don't think that Sanborn coined the term sedeprivationist.  I believe it was an englishman who did.
