Let me simply state my attitude on the matter. I know that something is wrong within my diocese and every other diocese in the world for that matter. This causes me to seek out the traditional catholic faith and spirituality of the masters. This is what I cling to while I remain indifferent to the rest. If they convert from their errors and/or whatever is poisoning their souls, they will arrive with me in the same place in the Church. But ultimately, our religion is a means to an end which is union with God and nothing else. If I confuse the end with the means, then I won't become very holy at all and I might just lose it.

The compressor for the a/c unit that cools the office was so full of "old spiders and webs" (see this week's Bp's Corner) that it shut down.

The comment about the a/c was part of a discussion about...the WEATHER!!??! LOL!!

Bp D talks about the weather in his "corner" as often as men/ladies do in the barber shop/salon. Is this REALLY what we expect/hope for from a man who ought to have been in a STATE OF PERFECTION to become a bishop? Yes, he spoke of it being a penance (just to make sure you know he is in conformity with the Divine Will, even as he was calling the weather "wretched"), but no one takes that too much to heart considering that he runs off to NM or has expensive surgeries because of his nasal/sinus issues.
