    • ALBANY — Howard Hubbard, the bishop emeritus of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany who has come under fire in recent years for his handling of child sɛҳuąƖ abuse cases and has faced several accusations of his own, announced Tuesday that he married a “wonderful woman” last month after the Vatican denied his request to return to civilian life earlier this year.
    Hubbard, in a letter addressed to “colleagues and friends,” said he had “fallen in love with a wonderful woman who has helped and cared for me and who believes in me” in a civil ceremony back in July.
    “She has been a loving and supportive companion on this journey,” Hubbard wrote.

    • Hmmm.  He almost made it under the wire as a valid bishop, consecrated in 1977 at the very young age of 38.  He must have been very well connected (to some nefarious group) to be consecrated a bishop AND appointed a bishop of a diocese (Albany) at 38.

    Hubbard’s family was NOT pleased with the eulogy given at his funeral because it focused too much on sinning.  Shocking for a NO funeral where everyone goes to Heaven and white vestments are worn.
