That video is downright amusing. Is this a new thing? You'd think he'd figure out a way to make that hand less accessible rather than continue to yank it away from everyone. He looks ridiculous.

Bizarre.

Also potentially unjust:

There is a plenary indulgence attached to kissing the ring of a bishop (The Pope being the Bishop of Rome).

I do not know whether this indulgence survived the severe post-conciliar abridgment of indulgences (which dramatically constrained Heaven’s mercy), but if any of those persons who tried to kiss the Pooe’s Ring were trying to gain that plenary indulgence, the Pope of Mercy denied them that opportunity.
