Bergoglian Commission On Deaconesses

  • Francis’ second commission on deaconesses, appointed in April 2020, will meet for the first time in mid-September in Rome for a full week, according to media reports.

The first commission confirmed in 2019 that known historical fact that the deaconesses of the first centuries were like social workers, without sacramental ordination and blessed with a different prayer than liturgical deacons.

The new group is led by L'Aquila Cardinal Petrocchi and includes - as was the case for the first commission – educated opponents of deaconesses like Father Manfred Hauke who teaches theology in Lugano, Switzerland. The questions remains unanswered why there was a need for a second commission.

  • It's interesting to note that most schismatic and/or heretical groups eventually wind up "ordaining" women. Just look at the Old Catholics.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

Even though it’s a commission on deaconesses for now, I wonder how the NO will square away their eventual ordaining of female “priests” with “St.” Wojtyla’s “Papal” pronouncement.

“Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church's divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. Lk 22:32) I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church's faithful.”

Probably completely overlook it just like Paul VI did with Quo Primum and Bergoglio did again while even referencing it in Traditiones Cojones.

Well, it couldn't be more obvious.  Bergoglio didn't like the answer from the first commission. "Try again."

Right, just delete it from vatican.va.  If Wojtyla had been pope, that would constitute an infallible teaching.

  • Novus Ordo is already doing this with women.  They lead Masses, hand out communion etc.
May God bless you and keep you

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:  That's so behind the times.  The New church could not care less about squaring any teaching with anything taught in the past, even by their vaunted "saints".

Precisely, female "Eucharistic Lay Ministers" are the shot for the "Deaconesses" chaser. If people weren't able to figure out how "Eucharistic Lay Ministers" (male, let's set aside the other issues) eroded the office of the priesthood and belief of Real Presence in Eucharist...
Regard all of my posts as unfounded slander, heresy, theologically specious etc
I accept Church teaching on Implicit Baptism of Desire.
    Francis is Pope.
    NO is a good Mass.
    Not an ironic sig.

That's what the Masons say.  "All Catholics must die"

Okay, bring it on.   We'll go down fighting... and you'll go to Hell
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi
