  • CM, I have question.  In your opinion how far back does the line of antipopes go?

    Quote
And Antipope Benedict XVI, the current antipope, is simply rehashing, albeit more boldly, what was begun by the antipope of the same name nearly a hundred years ago:

Are you saying Benedict XV was an antipope?  Since  I am new to this forum and fairly new to tradition I am just trying to figure out what your saying.  I would appreciate your thoughts.

To Jesus thru Mary, for the greater glory of God.

  • Arborman, yes I'm saying Benedict XV was an antipope.  I'm quite explicit about doing so.  Please review the link in my post and make up your own mind.  If you view it with Catholic eyes, I am confident you will reject this man as a heretic.  I assert that he was the first in the current line of antipopes.

    Regards,
    David
