I understand there is concern to keep the Society on the straight and narrow.

However, to my knowledge there is no deal!

Therefore, until there is a deal or Bishop Fellay starts hosting World Youth Days, I don't quite understand the complete obsession with Trads nuking each other while Fr. Teilhard preaches on gαy marriage and the Church goes to Hell in a hand basket. Who is left to fight the Neo-Caths and libs who number FAR MORE than all Trads put together?

There are people who would have said the same thing in the 60s Stevus.

Look at FE Stevus.  Now imagine that process happening among traditional Catholics because authentic traditionalists are silenced, moved, threatened, kicked out, etc.

It really is analogous to the situation with Vox and Quis.

You have a huge scandal, and a gradual shift in policy, and they're connected, and you have a confused younger generation that's easy to manipulate.

And then you kick out all the old people stand by the principles they started with.

Vox and Quis ran a silly website.

I think Trads are getting swept away by emotion and took Satan's bait to start a cινιℓ ωαr. The devil is redirecting all of the righteous anger towards each other and not where it should be.

It's the old biblical maxim. A house divided against itself cannot stand. The Neo-Caths retain their entrenched power and keep their liberal lap dogs in line with "full communion" and freedom to do their evil.

Meanwhile they now get to see the Trads self-destruct before their eyes. They must be laughing for joy at this sight. They couldn't do to Trads in 50 years what Trads are now doing to themselves in 3 years after the discussions.

It's the same social dynamic at work.  Believe it.

No Stevus, Bishop Fellay has started waffling on Vatican II and he's wrecking the society by creating a cult-like atmosphere.

You can blame Bishop Fellay and his arrogant minions, especially the French, for that.

You don't throw your own to the wolves.

... And I will continue to stand in genuine awe of all those couples -- straight, gαy and lesbian --

"... we could live with a provision that allows civil marriage of gαy and lesbian couples. Personally, however, I would go farther than that."

...Lawrence said an eventual change in church teaching was possible, "and we could come to recognize the total, exclusive and permanent union of gαy and lesbian couples as part of the sacrament of matrimony."

..."I personally believe that this is a possible line of future development in theology and perhaps eventually even in church teaching.

... "In the same way, I have attended, and will continue to attend, the weddings of gαy and lesbian persons whom I love and support, but I cannot perform the ceremony.

The St. Vincent parishioners gave Lawrence a standing ovation.

I wonder if "Fr. Lawrence" ever reads the Passion, did Christ die a tortuous death for this??????
