  • It looks like the reform of the reform is really taking hold in Rome...

  • Oh there are so many...I forgot which US predator is at the Lateran.

But if where there are balloons, there are perverts.

  • You might expect to see a bunch of women or children in this silly atmosphere, but did you notice all the men?  Or as my father would call them, 'excuses'.  My father wouldn't be caught dead waving his arms like that.  Also, did you notice the 'traditional' nun with a veil in that form-fitting habit? How long,O Lord, how long?

  • That sounds like a charismatic gathering.

Yes, I've seen that close up.  Terrible stuff.

I remember focusing on two stationary "monks" at first and thinking "At least they have maintained a modicuм of dignity."

Then they began undulating like palm trees in a strong wind.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

    undulating

1 : to form or move in waves : fluctuate
2 : to rise and fall in volume, pitch, or cadence
    3 : to present a wavy appearance

Pay attention and you might learn something new each and every day around here!  :smirk:

I finally got to watch the video and am not bothered in the least. They were singing praise style songs. There is no evidence this is Mass. It looks like a concert and is labeled a concert. Their were a half dozen ballons floating from two banners.

I am floored that this is an issue for anyone. I do not like the charismatic stuff myself, but using a Church for such a concert is scarcely a scandal. And balloons from banners???? This is an issue worth all this turmoil? I take it as a sign of many positive changes that something so inane and innoccuous has now become the focus of traditionalist rhetoric.
