Bishop Michael Mary, whose secular name is Gregory Wilson Rae Sim, was born in New Zealand in 1954. He was ordained a priest in 1978 by Bishop Brian Patrick Ashby, Bishop of Christchurch, New Zealand. Because he was consecrated a bishop without a pontifical mandate, he incurs an automatic (latae sententiae) excommunication under canon law, as do Bishop Pierre Roy as principal consecrator and Bishops Rodrigo Ribeiro da Silva and Fernando Altamira as co-consecrators.

So Fr. Michael Mary was ordained a priest under the New Rite? Did he undergo conditional ordination again during his time with the SSPX or by +Roy before the episcopal consecration of July 25th?
He was conditionally ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in 1987
