I have not been able to find any photos of the exhumation and translation of Bp. Carmona's body. If anybody else can find something about this I hope they will post it.

That is quite remarkable that you know the priest who was driving the car when Bp. Carmona was killed. It would really help to docuмent this event if he were to write his account of what happened. There are a couple of newspaper versions of what happened:

"November 1, 1991: Priest Moisés Carmona Rivera dies on the Mexico-Querétaro highway, near San Juan del Río, in front of the Hotel La Estancia, at 8 a.m. When the driver of the car fell asleep, which collided with the dividing wall, Priest Carmona got out and was hit by a trailer. The medical report indicates: Skull-brain trauma with immediate expulsion of brain mass; half face crushed, the same as the abdomen; crushed legs; severed right hand. He was accompanied by Fr. Pablo Arzuega, Fr. David Contreras, and another. Transferred to Acapulco, it (the body) was prepared at the Manzanares Funeral Home. Funeral services in the Temple of Divine Providence. Burial in the cemetery of Las Cruces."

"On November 3, 1991. Newspaper article by José Antonio Rivera Rosales and Urbano Valencia Valencia, in the Diario El Sol of Acapulco, titled: The remains of Monsignor Carmona arrived at the port. He died in an accident, returning from Guadalajara. Tomorrow they will be buried. Information about the death of Father Moisés Carmona Rivera. He died at the age of 79."

"On November 4, 1991. Newspaper article by Verónica Castrejón in the Diario El Sol of Acapulco, titled: They praise the work of Mons. Carmona and Rivera. Today they will bury him. The funeral services lasted three days, he was buried on Monday at 3 p.m. Statements by Fr. Alfredo Gutierrez."

"In 1996, (Fr.) Martín Dávila Gándara arrived again in Acapulco, transferred as Parish Priest, and was in charge of exhuming and transferring Carmona's remains to the Temple of Dominguillo."

"Very early, at 8 in the morning, in front of the La Estancia hotel, halfway between the city of Querétaro and San Juan del Río, on November 1, 1991, a spectacular accident occurred. An old man who just the day before had celebrated his 79th birthday and who was traveling from Guadalajara to the country's capital, was thrown from the vehicle in which he was traveling. The driver had dozed and the car crashed into the dividing wall. When his body fell on the asphalt, he was immediately hit by a trailer. The picture could not have been more dramatic: expulsion of brain mass, crushed face and abdomen, crushed legs and severed right hand."

"After three days of funeral services, he was buried in a cemetery in Acapulco. Five years later, one of his most faithful followers, (Fr.) Martín Dávila Gándara, led the exhumation of Father Carmona's remains and moved them to the Dominguillo temple."

Bishop Carmona's grave in the crypt of the Church of Divine Providence, Acapulco

The inscription on Bp. Carmona's grave at the crypt reads:
"You are a Priest forever" In recognition of the heroic defender of the Church of Christ who fought in an exemplary manner against the enemies of the Catholic Faith
