A fact which demonstrates the point that this was a communist tactic to take over South Vietnam, and control all of Vietnam, and was never about religious persecution.

France had had it's butt whipped in Vietnam and was too hurt and proud to assist their Catholic colony in preserving the Faith.

In the CMRI interview, Dr. Heller commented that of all the things that frustrated him most in the battle to preserve Catholic tradition was the inherent arrogance of the French.

The Vietnamese Catholics had the international Masonic press and powerful nations against them.

I'm sad to know that JFK could not see the spiritual battle at hand here.  The Vietnamese knew how dangerous communist insurgencies were, but Americans were so naive to where this was all headed.

In the following recording, JFK comments on the coup d'etat of Diem and admits it was US inspired. (JFK Jr. interrupts the recording at the end)
20 days later JFK would be dead.

The erudite debunking of Father Kelly's anti-Thuc book,  " The Sacred and the Profane".

No response from Bp. Kelly because he was unable to refute the evidences piled up against his poorly developed accusations.

Catholic leader of Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Diem - his niece on his assassination
Interview with Elisabeth Nguyen Thi Thu Hong (sister of Cardinal François-Xavier Nguyên Van Thuân and daughter of Abp Thuc's sister Hiep)

Very important comments on the video:

It was, and remains, a misleading narrative shaped by the American war-making establishment regarding President Diệm and his government. Both he and his brother were unequivocal: “No American boots on Vietnamese soil; doing so would strip us of our legitimacy, to resist communism.” This stance was unwelcome in Washington. Consequently, the United States permitted their removal and assassination.

In pulling that fatal coup in Sth Vietnam in 63, the CIA has put and end to Sth VN's golden decade of reconstruction under Diem. The US wanted a direct intervention in VN while Diem wanted to keep VN from a fully blown-out international war. Bless the Ngo Brothers' souls for they did God's work but were so misunderstood. Communism is Evil, America of today is slowly opening their credulous eyes to see the havoc it causes.

– Why did President Ngo Dinh Diem always wear Vietnamese national costume, while Ho Chi Minh always wore Chinese-style uniforms?

– Why did many captured CPV (communist party Vietnam) soldiers not want to return to the communist side but wanted to remain in the RVN?

– Why did people in South Vietnam not follow the communist soldiers but instead sided with the RVN soldiers during wartime?

– Why did the CPV claim a people's war was waged by the party's talent, yet they used Russian and Chinese weapons, and troops from China, North Korea, Russia, etc.?

– Why did the CPV claim the National Liberation Front (NLF) was established by the Vietnamese people to fight the Americans, even though this front was established in 1960 and clearly stated in CPV history books as being founded by Le Duan who remained in South Vietnam, while the Americans officially deployed troops to South Vietnam in 1965?

– Why did Ho Chi Minh write a poem calling for saving China as saving himself?
– Why did Ho Chi Minh and Pham Van Dong sign a diplomatic note recognizing the Paracel and Spratly Islands as belonging to China?
