I stand corrected, since this copy exists.
However, the credibility problem of the Vatican saying they received this copy on the same day in Rome- that the Carthage monastery claims Abp. Thuc signed it in Missouri- still remains.

Note the last sentence:
"The Vatican had claimed he had several months earlier signed a renewed recantation, but there was no signature on the letter ascribed to him. May he rest in peace."
This witness of Fr. Wathen to the absence of a signature on the docuмent - means that it could have been added at a later date.

It appears he did not sign anything and his signature was forged. He did not use "Peter" to sign his name- especially on important docuмents. In addition, the writing style does not match, especially the letter T.

This is another bogus claim of the Thucists.
The reality is that his handwriting was not at all consistent.

Thuc: Life - Part 20 - Continued

To the left of Bishop Thuc, we see Bishop Jacques Huynh Vân Cù. From the Thuca line. What is more interesting - a Vietnamese bishop appointed auxiliary bishop in Vietnam by Montini. (meaning he was Communist friendly, as were the enemies of Abp. Thuc and his family) Could Vietnamese bishops have access to Vietnam after all?

The photo was taken on the monastery grounds (Carthage). Bishop Thuc seems sad and intoxicated. Jacques Huynh contrary. More evidence of Thuc being drugged by his tormentors? Bishop Thuc suffered from diabetes, which also made things easier.

A lonely Vietnamese bishop, deprived of his episcopal see, family and homeland. The Vietnamese congregation appears. Isn't it obvious that it will pique his interest?

That face sure doesn't look sad or intoxicated. +Sanborn says that the one flaw of +Thuc is that he easily trusts anyone who comes to him to do things for them, e.g. consecrating bishops (Palmar, Heller & Hiller, etc..).

Moreover, he calls on the bishops he ordained, all those ordained by them, all those who follow them, to reject their error and reconcile with the Church and John Paul II. Moreover, this text included the recognition of V2, NOM and "especially the dignity of His Holiness John Paul II, the de facto and legitimate successor of St. Peter".

Nonsense. Suddenly Thuc regained his sanity? By now he would be mentally ill, and suddenly, snap, Thuc magically regains his sanity, he knows what he's doing? A bit of a push on the JP2 person, isn't it? As if someone believed that the essence, the essence is papacy. Not NOM, not even V2. Papacy. That there is so much pressure from enemies of the Church to recognize the post-conciliar occupiers as popes, is this not a sufficient signal? Isn't the warning light coming on? Where does this emphasis come from papacy in the era collegialism? Doesn't the answer impose itself?

Persto: And why did the Vatican wait until Abp. Thuc was dead to make an official announcement of an alleged reconciliation?
