Listen, why don't you just quite while you're ahead. You can repent. Read the works of Archbishop Lefebvre. Be less neurotic. Something to put your soul at peace with itself.

I stand corrected, since this copy exists.
However, the credibility problem of the Vatican saying they received this copy on the same day in Rome- that the Carthage monastery claims Abp. Thuc signed it in Missouri- still remains.

Note the last sentence:
"The Vatican had claimed he had several months earlier signed a renewed recantation, but there was no signature on the letter ascribed to him. May he rest in peace."
This witness of Fr. Wathen to the absence of a signature on the docuмent - means that it could have been added at a later date.

Here is the signature from the recantation docuмent that is supposedly signed by Abp. Thuc:

It appears he did not sign anything and his signature was forged. He did not use "Peter" to sign his name- especially on important docuмents. In addition, the writing style does not match, especially the letter T.

This is another bogus claim of the Thucists.
The reality is that his handwriting was not at all consistent.
