    Treatise on Baptism

"When we speak of within and without in relation to the Church, it is the position of the heart that we must consider, not that of the body."

"All who are within in heart are saved in the unity of the ark."

"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." Because we're all tired of you posting about the luxury of rejecting (As St. Alphonsus teaches) - the most necessary sacrament?

  • The truth is they probably reached their thumb down quota.  Matthew has a limit on how many thumb downs someone can dish out on one particular person.

Thank you Myrna.  That is a good feature.

  • Did you see all the thumbs down Augustine got?  Hopefully God straightened him out when he got to Heaven.

  • Thanks Lover of Truth  for fighting against the Feenyite heresy.  Keep it up, no matter what ,until we can get this heresy promulgation banned from this forum.  It is detrimental to souls.  You have a great talent for writing and discussing facts, thats why they want you off here.  If this continues,  the forum will be taken over by the Feenyites.
We have a Feenyite that comes to our Mass center.  CMRI is one of the few groups that allow Feenyites to come to their masses.  She has been told not to propagate her literature.  She tries to get around the priest's  ban on her doing so.
The SSPV, and the SSPX, will kick them out of their churches if they know their stand.

The feenites have been told by the Diamonds that they can attend the trad groups masses.  They cannot support the priests

Thank you very much Ambrose.  I had left CI for some time and was shocked to see how many Feeneyites there are.  I don't doubt their good will in many instances but I am surprised with all the Catholics on this site that they have not been straitened out by the many zealous for truth souls on this site.  Several months ago I was shocked by the hatred directed towards Father Stepanich when I shared articles of his against Feeneyism.

Perplexed yes.  But always ready to fight.  Is that good?  Beats me.  But here I am.  Do I normally ask myself questions and then answer them?  Probably not.  Why do I do so now?  Beats me.  Will I stop asking myself questions now?  I hope so.

The last part of your post in the above quote I did not understand.

I did kind of feel like I was on an island a bit which is why your support is very helpful.  I thoroughly enjoy other people's posts that try to correct the Feeneyite errors.  I believe many are good willed including many who have bad tempers and seem hateful.  It is frustrating when you defend truth or falsely believe you are defending the truth and no one believes you.

This may be why the Brothers Dimond are they way they are.  They probably really think they are defending the truth and are frustrated that "no one gets it".

Many times if we check our own pride we find that the problem lies more with ourselves than others.  It might be good if the Dimonds could do this.

I firmly believe, that generally speaking, most of us think we are better than we really are in the eyes of God and that others are worse than they really are in the eyes of God.  I try to keep this in mind but I am continually guilty of this accusation.  Not just with Catholics but all the corruption in the world in general.

Im not Ambrose!   Im Emerentiana!     In reference to the  comment  I made about the Feenyites not supporting the priests.  Diamonds have told them they can attend traditional masses, but they should sit in the back of the church and not give any financial support to the priests.

As far as attending masses is concerned, the Feenite we have here no longer goes to the SSPX masses.  Maybe the Diamonds have put out a directive forbidding them to attend the neo SSPX masses now, I dont know.

Thank you.  I was very familiar with the Dimonds and their policies and followed them for some time.  I bought their book on salvation and read it.

I'm one who believes one should not support the NO.  First because the are not Catholic, but for those who mistakenly believe they are, the second reason is because they use the money to cover up pedophilia among other things.

But one should at least minimally support a Church that provides valid Sacraments.  And more than minimally if they do not preach confusing errors.

Sorry I got your name wrong.  What Mass do you go to?

Don't the Dimonds go to a NO Eastern Rite?  Some portions of the Eastern Rites have "updated" their ordination and consecration procedures.  This would give me enough concern to avoid them entirely unless they showed me the ordination or consecration formula they used and a trained clergymen could verify that such a rite would be a valid ordination or consecration formula.  It is a pity that even the Eastern Rite can no longer be fully trusted but that is where the Dimonds go as far as I know.

Here's the short and simple for those who are seeking the truth about so-called baptism of desire:

For 19 centuries of Church history, so-called baptism of desire applied to a person who explicitly desired to be a Catholic. And no catechism ever taught otherwise.

In the 20th century catechisms began teaching that someone who has no explicit desire to be a Catholic, and even if the person rejected Christ and His Church, could be saved. Below are some examples.

AND that is the problem! It is a novelty, with no basis in the Fathers of the Church, nor was it ever taught by any Saint, and it is opposed to the dogmatic Athanasian Creed.

From the book  Against the Heresies, by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre:

    1. Page 216: “Evidently, certain distinctions must be made.  Souls can be saved in a religion other than the Catholic religion (Protestantism, Islam, Buddhism, etc.), but not by this religion.  There may be souls who, not knowing Our Lord, have by the grace of the good Lord, good interior dispositions, who submit to God...But some of these persons make an act of love which implicitly is equivalent to baptism of desire.  It is uniquely by this means that they are able to be saved.”

2.Page 217: “One cannot say, then, that no one is saved in these religions…”

Pages 217-218: “This is then what Pius IX said and what he condemned.  It is necessary to understand the formulation that was so often employed by the Fathers of the Church:  ‘Outside the Church there is no salvation.’  When we say that, it is incorrectly believed that we think that all the Protestants, all the Moslems, all the Buddhists, all those who do not publicly belong to the Catholic Church go to hell.  Now, I repeat, it is possible for someone to be saved in these religions, but they are saved by the Church, and so the formulation is true: Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus.  This must be preached.”
    __________________________________________

Bishop Bernard Fellay, Conference in Denver, Co., Feb. 18, 2006: “We know that there are two other baptisms, that of desire and that of blood. These produce an invisible but real link with Christ but do not produce all of the effects which are received in the baptism of water… And the Church has always taught that you have people who will be in heaven, who are in the state of grace, who have been saved without knowing the Catholic Church. We know this. And yet, how is it possible if you cannot be saved outside the Church? It is absolutely true that they will be saved through the Catholic Church because they will be united to Christ, to the Mystical Body of Christ, which is the Catholic Church. It will, however, remain invisible, because this visible link is impossible for them. Consider a Hindu in Tibet who has no knowledge of the Catholic Church. He lives according to his conscience and to the laws which God has put into his heart. He can be in the state of grace, and if he dies in this state of grace, he will go to heaven.” (The Angelus, “A Talk Heard Round the World,” April, 2006, p. 5.)

And so, whenever anyone talks in favor of Baptism of desire, go straight to the heart of the matter, know that they really all deny the very sources that they bring forward like St. Thomas and St. Alphonsus Ligouri. For they believe what NO Father of the Church, nor Doctor, nor Saint ever believed, that is, that a person who has no explicit desire to be a Catholic, can be saved.

With that, I say goodbye, for some time I hope. Family and life calls.

Good.  You could do a lot worse.  I hope all is well with you.  You are fortunate to have a true SV Mass to attend.

  • The only invincible ignorant are those people who believe in invincible ignorance.

Who was more anti-Christian than Saul, and yet look what God's Grace accomplished in him. St. Paul

The same God that can "turn these very stones into sons of Abraham, and that converted Saul and millions of others, can't convert an invincible ignorant.

If God's Grace can't convert them, it is because they rejected it, just the same as those on CI that believe in invincible ignorance and the salvation of those that have no desire to be Catholic. They too reject God's Grace.

    They reject God's Grace
They reject All of the Fathers, Doctors, and Saints of the Church.
They will reject a relative who comes back from the dead that tells them otherwise.

Another just plain ignorant comment by the bowler.

    Read.
