Cardinal Burke is too late to the party - way too late.
You just can't spend 40 years working your way up the conciliar ladder as a compromiser and do what he is doing and expect anything different than what he is getting. No doubt he's seen it happen to others and perhaps even expected to get what he's getting for opening his mouth.
It is a good possibility that he is getting the same treatment he gave to some others for their "insubordination" at some point. It will be interesting to see how he emerges from all of this.
Too bad that whether it matters or not, there aren't more doing what he is doing. I will say that at least he seems to be trying to do what he can at the moment, as told by Fr. Wathen:
However, even though the hierarchy cannot take legal action
against an heretical pope, all of them together, or any one of them in
particular, can condemn his teaching; they can accuse him before
God's tribunal, warn him of his sins, and remind him of the divine
wrath. Should this measure fail to produce any correction, they can
denounce him before his subjects, the Catholic faithful, and warn
them that they are not to listen to his teaching. Indeed, not only may
the prelates of the Church do this, they have a most serious obligation
to do it, an obligation which is as grave as the heresies are pernicious
and scandalous. And if they fail to do this, they become a party to the
pope's crimes, and will most certainly share in his punishment.
This applies here as well:
The test is in what happens when one of your conservative
priests ventures to tell the people the truth, when he begins not only to
preach Catholic doctrine, but to condemn and warn against the false
doctrines of his fellow priests and his bishop; when he begins to forbid
his people to go to the other churches, and, especially, when he
begins to offer Holy Mass as he is supposed to. Then, the Conciliar
machine kicks into gear and manifests that, despite all its vaunted
tolerance and openness, there is a limit, and there are some things
which "we simply cannot allow!"; then the glove comes off the hand
and the iron fist is clearly revealed.
