  • The survey overlooked an important feature - there is no mention of "chopped hair".

    Intro:
"What does the typical American Catholic look like? Surveys conducted by the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate tell us she is a 48-year-old, non-Hispanic white, married woman with a Catholic spouse. She is of the post-Vatican II generation (born between 1961 and 1981). Born in 1968, she is probably named Mary, since the fourth most popular girl’s name for that year was Mary, "

  • The sociologists who put that together are highlighting what Trads have noticed for a long time.  The secularists will cheer because it sure looks like the Church is going away and not slowly either.  The Trads will grow.  Those who love God and are blessed with wisdom will find their way to the Traditional Catholic Church.

The name "Mary" has fallen out of the top 100 names for girls and the novus ordo youngsters are not named Mary is a little jarring.

The decay in the Novus Ordo is obvious.
