What Roscoe means is that he thinks there is no such thing as sedevacantism, which is shocking considering the fact that he himself believes the Chair of Peter is empty. That should answer your question, Hermen. And welcome to CatholicInfo!

SS does not speak for me as i have never said that the Chair of Peter is empty. I Have Said that i do not know who the Pope Is at this time.

Are you saying we must always have a pope? What is the limit to an interregnum?

1-- i would hope so

2-- I am not familiar with Canon Law in this area.

It is poss that Pope Gregory XVII is not the greatest of all Popes but I highly doubt that he is as bad as Leo X, Clem VII, Boniface VIII(8?) or Benedict XV(15?) -- that is if the last 2 are even Popes at all.

The man has been dead for 21+ years, roscoe -- you might consider using the PAST tense when speaking of him.
