. I know that these insights do not result from any thought process of my own. They just pop into my head complete and full-blown, as if someone had put them there.

St. Jude, I have had the same thing happen to me several times so I know exactly what you are talking about.  I came to the same conclusion as you did since I know that what I was "told" could never have come from me.

  • That was nice St.Jude, I have had similar experiences but not as dramatic as yours.  I do not consider myself a leader at all, but feel a responsiblity to explain things to my adult children, grandchildren and relatives without turning them off.
    Please pray for my soul.

Then you're a leader! A leader can lead in many different ways. Too bad good family leaders don't have enough time for politics; they would make much better leaders than the bunch of schmucks we have now!

  • Yes, we are all leaders, and we are all followers.

  • I cannot imagine a situation in which I would care what Hindus do in their rites as long as not laws are broken.  Why do they care what we do in ours?  :smirk:
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

Oh Sigismund, these are the Fruits of the New Ecuмenism:  We are all one body now, we are all one "people of God" I believe John Paul II said something like "the Catholic Church is one among many churches," so therefore there are many paths to God and all of us, Catholics, Protestants, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Muslims, Jєωs, Buddhists, Hindus, have to look out for each other and make sure we don't fall into that same tired old trap of thinking that only one religion has the Truth; all of us are seekers trying to find our own individual truths so therefore no one has the right to tell others what to think or do; just the opposite:  we need to standardize our practices so that our brothers and sisters of other faiths will feel comfortable when they come to visit us at our particular place and form of worship, and we will feel accepted when we go to visit theirs!

God bless all of you, or if you don't personally believe in a Supreme Diety of some kind, in which case I apologize for offending your sensibilities, to which you are perfectly entitled, then may Nature or the Great Architect or the Roll of the Dice smile down on you in our brotherly and sisterly fellowship!
