I cannot imagine a situation in which I would care what Hindus do in their rites as long as not laws are broken. Why do they care what we do in ours?
Oh Sigismund, these are the Fruits of the New Ecuмenism: We are all one body now, we are all one "people of God" I believe John Paul II said something like "the Catholic Church is one among many churches," so therefore there are many paths to God and all of us, Catholics, Protestants, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Muslims, Jєωs, Buddhists, Hindus, have to look out for each other and make sure we don't fall into that same tired old trap of thinking that only one religion has the Truth; all of us are seekers trying to find our own individual truths so therefore no one has the right to tell others what to think or do; just the opposite: we need to standardize our practices so that our brothers and sisters of other faiths will feel comfortable when they come to visit us at our particular place and form of worship, and we will feel accepted when we go to visit theirs!
God bless all of you, or if you don't personally believe in a Supreme Diety of some kind, in which case I apologize for offending your sensibilities, to which you are perfectly entitled, then may Nature or the Great Architect or the Roll of the Dice smile down on you in our brotherly and sisterly fellowship!
