The Paulist Fathers is a male society founded by Fr. Isaac Hecker in 1858 in the USA. Fr. Hecker was an Américaniste (condemned heresy by Pope Leo XIII) and his life and ideas caused much trouble in France. The Paulist Fathers in the 19th and 20th century spread the ideas of Fr. Hecker through their publication the
Catholic World.
The Paulist Fathers today run the
Catholic Information Center (CIC). The website says it is dedicated to:
