  • Were there any other doctrines, beside that of what the Church is (subsistit in), that were changed at Vatican II? I don't know of any others. Maybe collegiality, but I don't know if that changed a doctrine. Thank you.

  • 2 Corinthians 4:3-4

And if our gospel be also hid, it is hid to them that are lost, In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them.

  • I'm thinking the new theology of invincible ignorance.  Limbo is another one that supposedly doesn't exist anymore.
My conscience compels me to make this disclaimer lest God judges me partly culpable for the errors and heresy promoted on this forum... For the record I support neither Sedevacantism or the SSPX.  I do not define myself as either a traditionalist or Novus

    Oh yes!

Invincible ignorance (along with the new theology of BOD) would probably go along with the Church and EENS to promote universal salvation.

And taking away the teaching of Limbo also takes away the teaching of Original Sin and the necessity of (water) Baptism for salvation.

    Thank you rov9!

  • I presume you are asking about the actual docuмents.  If so, I can't tell you since I've never been able to read or comprehend the docuмents of Vatican II.  They put me to sleep.  On the other hand, the "Spirit of Vatican II" has brought with it so many heresies one cannot keep up.

  • Yes, just the docuмents, not the effects of the Council.

  • For the record, BOD and Invincible Ignorence are real beliefs of the catholic church from the infallible ordinary magisterium. The way V2 and the V2 Concillar church use them and how they believe them to be however is not Catholic.

Blessed Pope Pius IX had an encyclical on that touches on Invicible Ignorence  http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Pius09/p9quanto.htm

This is an Article on BOD
